Colour with a u.
When I was younger, not as much younger as you'd think, I didn't like cut flowers because it seemed a shame to clip beauty off just to take it with you. That was before I knew how short the life cycle is to a flower. Still, I love the fact that this flower is surrounded by it's peers of various ages. The perfect browns and reds of the bricks accentuate it's beauty so well. Nice in a vase but even nicer here. Beauty is found by looking.
P.s. Maybe this is why we invented a small box that captures light [camera], you can take the beauty with you and leave the flower for the next soul to see.

Taylor, I love this photo. The burst of color in a frame that is otherwise pretty dark. It's great how you captured the multiple stages of the flower. It makes me think of hope. It's amazing.
